As the founding member of Yale Realty and Capital Advisors, James oversees final packaging and underwriting of all projects before they go to market or for financing; and personally heads the brokerage operations. James has been active in commercial real estate since 2005 and has strictly focused on his niche asset class since 2007. Since focusing solely on the Manufactured Housing (MH) and RV Resort finance and brokerage sectors, James has been personally responsible for dispositions, acquisitions, and financing of CRE production of roughly $500m. In his niche specialty of the Multi-Family sub asset class of Manufactured Home Communities, and the hospitality-MF hybrid sub-class of RV Resorts, he has become Florida's leading and most reputable specialist. James began his career running a multi-million dollar family service business when the COO abruptly quit. At this position he earned invaluable lessons of management and business that he learned to apply to all aspects of the business and finance work. During his tenure as COO, he was responsible for all facets of administration, including accounting, dispatch, hiring, firing, purchasing, and day to day employee management. It's worth mentioning that while under his management, annual sales grew from just over $1m to nearly $3m. In addition to hands-on experience, James found the time to do distance learning by studying accounting principals, real estate, and finance. He also became a licensed real estate agent and mortgage broker, and went on to obtain his full SAFE act licensing and approval. "My goal in opening the Yale Companies was to have a fully integrated sales and finance shop so we could better serve our existing clientele. I would love to one day bring on new niche specialists who would become the best in their respective areas of expertise and markets. We would build on the foundation of strict underwriting, thorough marketing, and strong ethics, all of which have ensured my success. This would help our clients who have 1031 needs and interest in other asset classes enjoy the same service with those transactions that they have grown accustomed to in the MH and RV asset class."
As the Head of Lending Operations for Yale Realty & Capital Advisors, Chris oversees and facilitates the placement of commercial real estate mortgages on investment grade, income producing real estate from $1m to $100m+, with a focus on Manufactured Housing Communities, RV Resorts, Self-Storage Facilities, and Multi-Family properties. In 2012, Chris assisted James Cook in launching the Yale Advisors company, with a personal focus on starting the Capital division. His focus was not only to provide debt-arrangement services, but to also provide a thorough analysis of investor properties in order to identify inefficiencies, and prepare the property for either sale or financing. The Yale Capital division is now the fastest growing financing firm that is focused on the niche of MHC's and RVP's, and continues to place mortgages across all of the available financing channels, including local banks and credit unions, CMBS, Life Insurance companies, and Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac. During his oversight of the financing department, the company has secured financing for over $400m in loans. Chris received his Bachelors of Science with a double major in Finance & Real Estate from Florida State University.
